Instructions on how to make your own plant-based milk
Ingredients
1 cup of nuts or seeds - I recommend almonds, hemp, buckwheat or oats
3 cups of filtered water
Directions
Soak nuts for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible
Strain through a nut milk bag (or a fine strainer if you don't have one)
Pour into a jar and store in the fridge. It will stay fresh for up to 3 days
Add to smoothies, your morning granola and teas and coffees
Note:
Hemp milk doesn't require straining
Avoid making nut milk with macadamia or cashews as they can be too rich, and can flair up digestive symptoms
